Subject: [ardour-dev] Does ardour actually call jack_engine_takeover_timebase()?
Date: 07 Aug 2003 12:50:43 -0500
I've been chasing a problem in the new transport implementation. When
ardour 0.9-beta2 calls jack_set_transport_info(), JACK complains that
ardour is not the transport master. Looking for the relevant code in the
ardour sources, I come up empty...
$ grep -nIr takeover_timebase *
libs/ardour/ardour/audioengine.h:107: int takeover_timebase () {
libs/ardour/ardour/audioengine.h:108: return jack_engine_takeover_timebase (_jack);
This doesn't find anywhere that calls takeover_timebase(). Did ardour
take advantage of the lack of error checking in the earlier JACK
transport implementation? Or, am I just cluelessly missing something?
:-)
