no, its a bad idea. creating new AudioTracks (or Busses) involves
creating new Routes, which implies the creation of a heavyweight
object. even disabled Routes have certain costs associated with them
that i think are better avoided. 

i prefer the suggestion of creating a new playlist with the bounced
version, and just switching the playlist over to the new one, along
with turning off all inserts on the Route.
