I have had issues with a Radeon 7500 video card, on a Tyan board with
the Via chipset. Once I changed the video card to an older TNT2 pci
card, my xruns went away. I still dont trust the Tyan board with via
chipset, and will replace it with an Intel chipset board. My laptop has
a P4 with the Intal 845 chipset, and runs much better than the dual P3
with via chipset. YMMV.
