So I installed automake-1.7 (Debian testing), and did 'alias automake=automake-1.7' and a new ./autogen.sh;./configure;make. Same result. But this was automake 1.7.2. So I downloaded automake 1.7 (.0 I presume :) and installed it. And then I did a new "./autogen.sh;./configure;make".
