Date: Wed, 26 Feb 2003 17:43:20 -0500 i forgot to mention that i'm using a piece of junk soundblaster Live! value card at the moment <<sigh>> until i scrap the money together for a better card. also think i wrote 48.1k when in fact i believe it was 44.1k for the rate....i'm using ext3 as far as the file structure goes...don't know what/where the max file size is, but i'll check into it...my drive is 80gigs, so i don't think we have a problem there. my process in trying to create this session was as follows...opened up the ardour program, clicked new session. added 2 audio tracks, for left and right. opened up my alsamixer, got the levels tight. after, i pressed the 'record enable' buttons on the audio tracks. closed alsamixer. pressed the big 'record enable' button at the top of the arrange window, and then pressed 'play'. ...then spun a stellar dj set which was not to be found 45 minutes afterwards. the other thing that concerns me is that i'm getting seg faults sometimes when i remove tracks or in general click around the audio tracks' menus on the arrange window. is this common?? cheers, --brook; _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam?
