A while ago I experimented with BruteFIR, which is a realtime convolution engine, and a few proprietary impulse responses, with extremely good results. It is every bit as good as the result on Windows or Mac (and it should be). There are though a few drawbacks with convolution. - It consumes hefty amounts of CPU, it does put it to good use though :). - There are almost no freely available impulse responses. The biggest problem being the lack of impulses. If there where a library of free impulses I could easily envision bruteFIR becoming a "killer-application". Mmmm, and a GUI for BruteFIR ofcourse....
