Go on the mixer strip and instead of adding a plugin chose "New Insert", then Ctrl+Button 3 to add input ports. When you record, don't forget to mute the insert ifnot you will get twice the signal. > 2. What is the auditioner for and how do I use it? In the option editor 'Audition' there is a shot text saying what it is... I think it is to listen the region listed in the left.. May be there are other uses ? Like listening a file before to import it ?? I don't know much about it as well :-/ > 3. What exactly is the difference between a buss and a > track. I noticed I can't record a buss. A bus is a strip generally used for global effect like reverb... It is very similar to a real hardware mixer. For instance create a stereo bus, then insert a ladspa reverb like the freeverb3... On your other audio tracks chose "New send" (like above with insert) then edit the "send" to add the reverb bus as destination, you see that there is a level to set the amount of the signal sent to the reverb. That way you have a reverb bus for all the track that need it, you can add other bus (mono or stereo) if you want a group of track to be processed similary by a same effect... Another use is to make group of track depending of their instrumental category. For instance, route all the drums track to a bus, it will allow you to change the volume of all theses tracks at once, or mute them all to concentrate on the rest of the song... There are many uses possible.. :) Linium ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
