If you are not running as root then you need to run 'jackstart' instead of 'jackd'. You said your kernel has low latency capabilities . If this means Andrew Mortons low latency patch is applied and 'on' , plus it has a 'capabilities' patch then jackstart -R should work. Try -d hw:0 instead of --d ice1712. -d ice1712 is OK only if you have set up a suitable asound.rc file. Also you might like to try qjackctl. http://qjackctl.sourceforge.net It makes getting JACK going, and connected much easier :) Useful sites : http://myweb.cableone.net/eviltwin69/ALSA_JACK_ARDOUR.html http://www.djcj.org/LAU/ardour/Basic_recording_howto.html You may also need to upgrade JACK.. I'm not sure if 0.75.0 is compatible with that version of ardour. I'm running jack-audio-connection-kit-0.83.4-1 with ardour-0.9beta5-1 and these work well together. Sounds like youve got a pretty nice setup tho... Ive got the C-port myself and I'm envious of those balanced inputs you have :) Cheers Lawrie Abbott ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
