i am not sure which of these are questions and which are statements.

1) there is no LC config for ardour
2) i have the emagic docs on the LC protocol, they are/were publically
      available.
3) it would be great to see a working implementation of this for
      ardour! i haven't thought carefully about how best to do it.
      something needs to sit on the MIDI data stream and convert
      messages into ordinary ardour function calls to change the state
      of things.
