Hi everyone,

I've recently started trying to use ardour again, and I have a few questions:

1. Is it worth upgrading to cvs from version 0.9-beta1, or would I risk
getting a less stable version?

2. How do stereo tracks work, exactly? Is it possible to import a stereo
soundfile into a stereo track? When I try this I just get the left channel
of the audio file on both of the track's outputs so I end up using two mono
tracks, which is pretty awkward for the loop-based stuff I'm attempting.

3. Is it possible to do a "save as" type operation on sessions? It seems
like quite a stunning ommission if not.

4. How do you remove a single plugin from a track/bus? (I think I've tried
everything - I suspect it's some obfuscated alt-click that gets intercepted
by my window manager. If that's the case can I change it?)

5. Is it possible to remove gain-automation data points?

6. Is LADSPA parameter automation working yet? If so, can someone give me
step-by-step instructions for using it?

7. How do you change the initial tempo, as opposed to adding a new one at
some point after the song starts? I have managed to do this a couple of
times but I'm not sure how.

8. Is it possible to re-order the tracks/busses in the editor window? (ie.
move a track to the top etc.)

I think that's it for the time being. Any help you can give me would be very
gratefully recieved.

I also have a very minor feature request: It would be really nice if the
Region->Duplicate feature was aware of the "Snap To" option - so if you had a
loop that was a bit longer than a bar because of a reverb tail or something
you could just turn snap to bars, duplicate it a large number of times and
instantly have a loop running through the whole song that was in time.
