I'd like to know how other, more experienced Ardour users do it. Is normalization for winnies? I understand that you're not really accomplishing anything by doing it, but it make things a bit easier and cleaner. As far as I can tell, Cubase SL has been worth the ~$300 I paid for it. Not to knock this project - the two aren't comparable - but it's got a ways to go if the library portion is to linked into a commercial front-end (I believe hearing that that was the plan somewhere). I worry that 1.0 is a bit further off than was planned even with the delays. Dragging automation points around never fails to crash Ardour. Ah, well. What do you want for free... >From: Aaron <aamehl@bezeqint.net> >To: ardour-users@lists.sourceforge.net >Subject: [Ardour-users] noramalize and other questions >Date: 04 Sep 2003 21:12:18 +0300 > >I have a recording I am slicing into pieces.
