Hello all. I would like to know if there is a way to sync video with ardour? For instance gxine or mplayer. Better yet, in an Ideal world, I could forward, reverse stop and play ardour and a video player with my Tascam DM-24. I only succeded in getting the faders and mute to work with my board via MMC. Could somebody perhaps tell me if As of now, I should be able to control ardour transport with the stop record and play buttons on my board? Is this done via MMC or MTC? I realize from reading various groups that timing is an issue that is being dealt with now, but I would like to simply know if I am to impatient or just don't know how to do it. I tried Options->sync->send MTC Positional sync is set to internal. Should my board be sending MTC? Then, I get this error which is really confusing [ERROR]Session:cannot send quarter frame MTC message (Success) Since when is an error a success?? (I feel really weird when I see that. In my life I try not to make any errors in the hope of acheiving success, anyway...) There is a MTC port field in the midi options Tab. It is set to sequencer. Should I be putting something else in ardour.rc? I do get sysex messages that show up in the console when I hit stop play or record on my board. If MTC is ready, to be directed to a thread that shows how to do it would be heavenly. Thanks for any response but also Thanks to the developers.
