The version of ardour actually was just pulled from cvs a few hours before my post. I also grabbed the latest package of jack that Gentoo offers, but it is not the cvs stuff. Thanks to Brett for his cvs ebuild, but looking at it, I don't think I could recreate one for jack so will have to be patient, if that was my problem. The file I'm trying to export is a big one.. about 25 minutes or more of stereo recording. The export actually puts out a portion of that, sometimes. I'm thinking maybe I will try to break it up into smaller chunks and will have better luck, I hope.I have to do some experimenting and getting familiar with how ardour works. It is exciting that development is progressing so well on this project. I'm sitting on the fence right now between windows with my cool edit - maybe upgrade to Adobe Audition , or linux and ardour with other tools. I'm leaning towards linux as I want to move away completely from windows. If I can get comfortable with ardour, I will throw a little money towards the project../jd ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Perforce Software.
