I set up Ardour on my Gentoo system a few days ago and I'm loving it.
Except for the occasional crash when deleting a clip everything is
working great (I heard that's fixed already).

Here's my question: Is there any way to pan a mono track over two
outputs? I've figured out how to make it play through left and right
channels (so it sounds centered), but the panning control in the mixer
only appears to be enabled when the track itself is stereo. I only have
experience with cheap recording software (Cakewalk), so I'm a little
clued out on how it's done with _pro software_

Thanks in advance,

Nathan
