I went with the M-Audio BX5 monitors and a Behringer HA4600 headphone
amp. I went with the BX5's because of limited space. I'm very happy
with them. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that the low end
rolls off somewhere between 50Hz and 80Hz. They say 56Hz and that's
probably about right. I'm overjoyed with the HA4600. For $100US it's
an amazing piece of gear. You get 4 separate headphone channels with
aux ins, two band EQ, mono/stereo, left/right mute, gain, aux/main
signal mixing, and three outs per channel.
