this would be a cool thing to just be able to open a pro tools session in
ardour

it is not possible that i know of

of course, a person could just transfer tracks - but depending on your sound
card hardware this might be hard - of course you can do stuff like export
each track to a wave file, then come import that wave file into ardour, etc.
