This is actually a long-standing JACK bug, AFAICT.  When the watchdog
timer detects a server deadlock it sends SIGKILL to the current
client's process group.  

That is clearly "overkill".  :-)

This was only reported recently.  Naturally, I'd also like to know why
JACK got itself hung.
