    With 2.3.44 (smp), I get the following:

     + an unresolved symbol:

       depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.3.44/block/rd.o
       depmod: def_blk_fops

     + a SCSI warning while booting:

          : scsi0 : Adaptec AHA274x/284x/294x (EISA/VLB/PCI-Fast SCSI) 5.2.0/3.2.4
          : <Adaptec AHA-2940A Ultra SCSI host adapter>
          : scsi1 : Adaptec 152x SCSI driver; $Revision: 2.0 $
          : scsi : 2 hosts.
          : Vendor: SEAGATE Model: ST32155N Rev: 0318
          : Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
          : Detected scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
       => : (scsi1:5:0) message sent incompletely (2/6)
          : Vendor: IOMEGA Model: ZIP 100 Rev: N*32
          : Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
          : Detected scsi removable disk sdb at scsi1, channel 0, id 5, lun 0
          : scsi : detected 2 SCSI disks total.

    The latter actually happened with 2.3.4[02] as well, but I didn't
    notice it until now. It doesn't happen with 2.3.35.
