2.3.4x won't boot

    I've tried compiling and booting 2.3.43, 2.3.45, and 2.3.46. In
    each case, when I attempt to boot the kernel, I get "Loading
    kernel", and nothing else whatsoever. I have an NCR53c810
    SCSI controller, if that's a clue.
