2.3.99pre2-3: ide_xlate_1024 not linked in

            If I try to build linux-2.3.99pre2-3 with IDE drivers
    compiled as a modules, I get an undefined reference to ide_xlate_1024,
    because the msdos partition code wants it. I am still thinking
    about what the right way is to fix this.
