[bug] es1371 hangs

I have an es1371 revision 7, and in 2.3.99-pre*, I get hangs with it.
When the device hangs, if it was playing audio at the time, the last
half-second of audio is repeated over and over...

Here's the odd part: this happens with either thomas sailer's driver
OR the current Alsa driver from 0.5.7.
