I have same problem here.
My K6-450 with only 32mbytes of ram is almost unusable with 2.3.99pre7-6
so I give a try to Andrea Arcangeli classzone-24(*) patch and the results
are amazing!
Now my machine work really fine with wmaker,several netscape, xmms, staroffice
and a some xrvt.
I don't get any useful numbers because the improvement was from "unusable at all"
to "very responsive system for a 32mbytes box"
