    Hi,

some people already have reported slowness of 2.2.15. Perhaps I can add
some facts. I tested it on 3 systems:

AMD K2, 128 MB, 8 GB IDE disk, 2.2.15 with IDE patch,
    ext2 and Reiserfs (3.5.20pre1)

Dual Celeron, 128 MB, 13 GB IDE disk, 2.2.15pre19 with IDE patch,
    et2 and Reiserfs (3.5.20pre1)

Dual Celeron, 128 MB, 4+9 GB SCSI disks, 2.2.15, Reiserfs (3.5.20pre1)

On all Machines, independent of filesystem, the system becomes very slow
under high I/O load (bonnie -s 512 or similar). The SCSI system was much
less affected than the IDE systems however. The systems become especially
slow when data are commited to disk (perhaps when kupdate runs).

    I haven't tried pre16-3 yet.

    Regards,
    hjb
