    Hi,
The following patch is a beta version of backport of 2.[34].*
vfat NLS support. Please test it. The patch is quite large because of
inclusion of upper<->lower conversion tables. It also probably doesn't
    work with 2-byte charsets.

The original vfat NLS support in 2.2 has some problems:
    - no name conversion was done on creating/renaming files.
    - only long names were converted while reading directories; the short ones
were not - names of files without a long name were displayed improperly.

This patch seems to fix these problems, however, I do not know if it
breaks something else or not (especially fat fs). It needs more testing
    and some cleaning.

Is enybody else working on 2.2 NLS ?

    Regards
       Andrzej
