    Hello,
i have compiled the 2.4.0-test1 with ide-cd as module.
    Everything works fine so far.

The module is in the right place, but the modules.dep, generated at
    boottime, is incorrect:
There is no path to the ide-cd.o and no dependency with cd-rom.o recorded.
So i get an error, when i try to mount the cdrom.
I correct this manually by inserting the right paths in modules.dep.

I would not call this a heavy mistake, but how can i correct this
    permanently?
Is it a known bug of the kernel or a problem with depmod?
With kernel 2.2.14 everything is fine.

    Chris
