Has anybody a working pppoed for 2.4 (2.4.4-ac10/11)?

I have pppoed-0.48b1-6, ppp-2.4.0-5 (SuSE 7.1) but it didn't work (with
kernel pppoe.o/pppox.o).
So I have to use rp-pppoe-2.5-5 (which should be slower I've heard) for the
German Telekom ADSL (product name TDSL).
