Linux and NTFS

All

I have a hard drive out of a windozeNoT box that contains both a fat and
ntfs partition. There are some files on the ntfs side that need to be
recovered. The fat partition has been reformated with an image of
windozeNoT which when the image was done, did not contain any information at
all about ntfs. The machine thus sees the ntfs partition as "free space".
Is there a way I can put this drive on my linux box and mount the ntfs
partition on this drive, and extract the needed files?

tia,
